When Pat Fallon embarked on a career as a professional entertainer he was curious why there were no magicians performing regularly around Ireland. The simple answer was that magicians of the time could not adapt to modern performing conditions, so had just slipped quietly away into the safe area of children’s entertainment.
Formulating a new act that could work anywhere was a priority, with the serious side of magic being dropped in favour of a humorous approach with more audience participation and comedy situations. The immediate effect was that the entertainment value went up and so did demand for this act.
Pat has worked or toured with many stars of Irish show business including Linda Martin, Liam Clancy, Foster and Allen, The Fureys, Paddy Reilly, Aonghus McAnally and for a total of fifteen years with comedian Brendan Grace. Work with Brendan includes summer seasons in one of Ireland’s most prestigious cabaret venues, The Gleneagle Hotel, Killarney, and extended runs in The Everyman Palace Theatre, Cork, The Belltable Arts Centre, Limerick, The University Concert Hall, Limerick, The Tivoli Theatre, Dublin, and two extensive tours of the UK.
This act can be tailor-made to suit any audience or venue and can be performed just about anywhere it can be seen. It is sometimes presented in conjunction with Pat’s award-winning stage act if conditions allow.
Due to the relatively small population in Ireland it is necessary to change the act from time to time in order to satisfy demand for repeat bookings so Pat can present a completely different act to the same audience whenever necessary.
